SATURN AWARDS 2011

INCEPTION Memimpin Perolehan Nominasi SATURN AWARDS 2011

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films baru saja mengumumkan nominasi untuk Ajang Penghargaan Tahunan SATURN AWARDS 2011 yang mengkhususkan diri untuk memberi penghargaan pada film-film bertema fiksi ilmiah, fantasi, dan juga horor. Film arahan Christopher Nolan INCEPTION (2010) memimpin dengan mendapatkan 9 Nominasi. Semakin mengukuhkan film ini sebagai film 'macan' festival, menyusul kesuksesan yang sudah diperolehnya di Golden Globes dan sederet nominasi di Oscar tahun ini. Perolehan nominasi INCEPTION disusul oleh film horror remake brilian tentang vampire LET ME IN (2010) arahan Matt Reeves yang dibintangi oleh Chloe Moretz yang mendapatkan 7 nominasi. Jumlah perolehan nominasi yang sama dengan LET ME IN (2010) juga diperoleh oleh film TRON : LEGACY (2010).

Rumah Produksi WARNER BROS memimpin dengan mendapatkan total 23 nominasi dari 6 Film Produksinya, yaitu CLASH OF THE TITANS , HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS : PART I, HEREAFTER, LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS : THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE, SPLICE, dan pastinya INCEPTION.
Selain memberikan penghargaan untuk film layar lebar, SATURN AWARDS juga seperti biasa memberikan penghargaan untuk Serial Televisi. THE WALKING DEAD memimpin dengan mendapatkan 6 nominasi, diikuti oleh BREAKING BAD, LOST, dan FRINGE yang mendapat 5 nominasi. TRUE BLOOD dan DEXTER masing-masing 4 nominasi dan terahir SMALLVILLE yang hanya memperoleh 2 nominasi.
